There is a host of benefits you can enjoy if you take up yoga on a regular basis! You will feel, sleep, and look better. Yoga can also relieve common ailments such as insomnia, ingestion, water-retention, and bodyaches.

Relaxation: 

Yoga exercises, such as gentle stretching, breathing, meditation and guided relaxation, release body tension and calm the nervous system and emotions.

Concentration: 

Focus, attention and concentration are promoted by a yoga practice of mindful movement and body awareness. The practice of balancing postures, in particular, builds concentration.

Toning: 

Holding yoga postures creates isometric exercise which tones every part of the body, including the internal organs.

Healing: 

Yoga exercises the glands, organs and endocrine system, massaging, toning and increasing circulation to stimulate, heal, and eliminate toxins from the body.

Flexibility: 

Yoga postures gently stretch the muscles in the body, increasing the flexibility and lengthening the muscles, tendons and ligaments.

Nourishing: 

Slow, gentle movements with deep breathing energize the body rather than tire it. This, in combination with yoga's relaxation and healing benefits, allows daily renewal and nourishment of the body-mind-spirit.

YOGA IS FOR EVERYONE and is not difficult to pick up too. From little kids to senior citizens, each and everyone of us can reap health benefits from it. YogaRhythmics® integrates yoga, creative movement, breathwork, energy, music, and play into a dynamic experience of self-expression.  The yogic attitudes of love, acceptance, compassion, contentment, integrity, and openness are at the heart of the YogaRhythmics® experience.  These are manifested through a framework of specific and spontaneous movements, postures, and breath which continually access and build energy throughout the body.  Through a structured sequence of natural movement patterns the seven energy centers of the body, known as chakras, are opened, energized, and integrated.

With YogaRyhthmics® there is no right or wrong way of movement or being. You are invited to be in the experience in your own way and to move in ways that feel good to you and honor your body.  YogaRhythmics® is for EVERYONE and EVERY BODY. You don't need to know a thing about yoga or about dance to experience the joy and benefits of moving your body through YogaRyhthmics®.

YogaRhythmics® classes offer a safe and non-judgmental space in which you can move, de-stress, relax, stretch, tone, breath, and work out.  Classes begin with getting in touch with your body with lots of energizing breathing.  From there, you'll move all parts of your body from the feet, legs, and hips, through the belly, chest, arms, and back, and into the neck and head.  You'll create, share, and gather energy as you move and dance to a stimulating array of music -- pop, rock, drums, soul, new age, broadway hits, Celtic voices, oldies, swing, and much, much more.
